Woke at half seven after a most crappy night's sleep. Finally managed to transfer over some money, after a shout-match on the phone with mum. After the others decided that we were bored, we packed up and left much earlier than we'd thought, which was as I wanted. We saw some hilarious signs on the way, 'Join for Fox sake,' and, 'Remember to indicate before changing lanes,' being our favourites. Katherine and I got through baggage check-in fine, the others took a while. Then we found Anna with her family, but had to wait about 30/40 minutes for Hannah to turn up. We wended our way through the lines inside, then when we had our swipe cards and boarding passes went around the corner to find an ATM and some distractions. When we got back we could go straight through, which was awesome. The last passport check almost stopped me, the reader didn't like mine- but they let me through anyway. Bec freaked a little at quarantine and Age beeped through the metal detector, lol. The boat was super fancy, and we were LITERALLY next door to each other. The doors touched!I explored with Katherine and Jamie. We went to the buffet, (free!) for lunch, and met Bec and Gemma there. They showed us, 'the dome,' like a night club. Excellent. Found the theatre and got told off for posing on the stage. While Bec and Gemma re-showed Hannah, Age and Anna the Dome, K., J. and I went to the Library and Pursers office, which was manned by a HOT Canadian guy. Had a safety demonstration, then up on deck for the leaving party! Very fun. There was a band, and a skipping contest..... but they did the Macarena WRONG!!!!! Had cocktails, sun-baked. Gemma went for sunscreen and got lost. I got me and Age a sundae and she got us both a drink. Jamie and I went for a photo tour. Every deck to the Gym, where we signed up for Dawn boot camp- the trainer was South African and literally made us weak at the knees. We met the others and changed for dinner. I'm not sure if ANYONE wore their own clothes! We had a table booked at the restaurant, (free!) for dinner at six, and when we walked in all of the waiters started singing, 'All the Single Ladies!' I had a steak, desert and cocktail- but Bec managed every course! I was so proud! Afterwards we went to the Dome, and found some boys 'we' knew. Drank with them, then went for a walk with Gemma, (under-age!) and we ended up having coffee. Or, she did. Went back for tequila slammers, then at 9 H. and A. took off. At ten we went down for Karaoke, but we were early. The others went to the pools, but my silver bracelet broke so I went downstairs to put it in the safe. Met Bec, (also 17!) and we went back up for Karaoke. VERY fun. Went back to the Dome and danced the night away. Wandered away briefly, and came back to significantly less people. Realised that it was a quarter to five because we were on Queensland time and went downstairs. Luckily we over-agers were in one room, (P119,) whilst the others were in P123, Bec and Gemma are under-age and Anna and Hannah had gone to bed early. I left them and went to the lobby to write, then crawled into bed at half 5. All in all a glorious day.
